Chess Education at Chess for Change Academy

Suvir Aylawadi created Chess For Change Academy with the goal of using chess to help bridge equity gaps, develop future leaders and enhance cognitive abilities among youth. The founder is also an award-winning International FIDE Player and National Competitor. He leveraged his experience from competing at the highest level into creating a program which utilizes chess to provide equitable access to quality Youth Chess Programs for disadvantaged communities.

Using strategic thinking education, instruction, mentorship and global outreach initiatives, Suvir will teach students how to apply the concepts learned through playing chess in their daily lives (strategic thinking, discipline and resiliency). Using chess as a structure-based method to promote foresight, resiliency and ethical decision making; Suvir will be teaching confident thinkers and leaders. Utilizing chess as a scalable educational tool, Suvir's efforts at Chess for Change Academy are focused on achieving long term positive social change globally. Suvir demonstrates a long-term commitment to giving back to the community, providing leadership opportunities and increasing access to education for disadvantaged youth.
